I had 45 minutes all to myself last week, and I spent it looking at old, pretty things in a flea market. I came out empty handed, but my introvert soul felt refreshed, which is always a good thing.
I’m such a sucker for vintage children’s books, especially with pretty covers.
Silver plated tea pots, sugar and cream set–I love the details on their feet, handles and lids.
These riding boots aren’t a bargain, but they’re unique and interesting.
I love vinegar and olive oil, and this cruet set caught my eye.
These whimsical graduation owls are pretty quirky, but weirdly, I like them.
This cordial set also has lovely details, and ensures you’re not so greedy as to drink cordial a tumblerful at a time.
I liked how someone had alternated white and ivory pages against each other. I’m thinking about how and where to do this in my house….
This light fixture is from the 1920’s, and claims to have original paint.
This was my favorite find of the day. It would in no way shape or form go with anything in my house, but I thought it was beautiful. The tag said the hutch was hand painted by Romanian Gypsies–I especially like the hinges and keyhole.
